Packing for holiday…
With the summer holiday vacation fast approaching, it is time to select the lucky cameras to accompany me on the next adventure…
I usually over pack, and this will be no exception! I need a main camera, plus some fun ones too!
For my main camera, I have chosen a Canon EOS, as they are light and dependable. This time it is the EOS Kiss IIIL with 28-90mm lens - this should do for most situations, plus the added bonus of the panorama mode. The bright silver should reflect some of the Mediterranean sun and hopefully protect the film more than my black EOS 500. Film wise, I am taking a selection of Kodak Gold 200, Fujifilm 400 for the evenings, and maybe a roll of Portra 400.

For the beach, I have the Canon AS-6 (Aqua-Snappy), which when new was able to dive down to 10 meters! I wonder how the Forty year old seals are going to fair! I am thinking Fujifilm 400 would be the best choice for underwater shots, and just hope it can handle the beach in full midday sun at ISO400! - what is the worst that could happen? With a maximum speed of 1/250th and f11 I think it will struggle to be honest! Maybe some ISO200 then?

Finally for Team 35mm - the Petri Ultra Compact CF-35 that I only got a few days ago. I think it will be quite fun with the roll of DragonFilm No.1 black & white that has been in the fridge for over a year! I am hoping for some high contrast street images around the Old Town and harbour. The name is a lie really - it is not ultra compact when you put it next to an Olympus XA, nor is it actually made by Petri, but a very cool looking camera nonetheless.

Also packed is the trusty Kodak 66 (Model III) that has been to many different countries with me. It will be for when I have a bit of me time to enjoy some photography! For 120 I have some Kodak Gold 200 and Fujifilm 400H.

Four cameras for a two week vacation you may say is not excessive, but on top of these are my digitals - Olympus E-M10II, Fujifilm XP65 (underwater) and DJI Mini drone!
Images from the trip will appear in a few weeks, until then it’s Güle güle from me…
