2025 Review…

With year reviews all over the social media platforms, now is a good time to look at my favourites moments from this year. I have become the new owner of some wonderful cameras, and shot many rolls of film. I have travelled to new countries, and new parts of my country.

January started off with an epic adventure to the Land of Fire & Ice - Iceland

Canon EOS 300V - FlicFilm Aurora 800

Some cracking light and amazing mornings in February

Chinon Auto GLX - Kodak Gold 200

The gloom of March before the warmth of spring - perfect for HP5

Zenith 80 - Ilford HP5

In stark contrast to the first foreign trip of the year, April was the chaos and beauty of Morocco

May is always reserved for Photographica in London to buy some new toys.

June was hot! With temperature above 30 degrees, there was an influx of ‘new’ Car Boot Sale cameras, including the Miranda MS-2 Super.

With good light in July, it was time to take some of the expired 126 film out of the fridge.

Rolleiflex SL-26 - Boots 126

In true British fashion the height of summer in August was overcast or raining in the Peak District.

Canon EOS 500 - Fujicolor 200

September saw the arrival of the missing camera from my KMC line up

October saw me finally getting to fly out to Germany to ride the Wuppertal Schwebebahn.

With Autumn all but over by November, and that gorgeous morning Winter sun, panoramas with my new Canon were fun

December is when I finally get to try a Petri Pro 7, after buying three this year to get one that works…

2025 saw 47 films shot on over 40 different cameras, many new cameras joined the collection, with some amazing experiences through the lens.

Roll on 2026 for more of the same…
